The environmental education and science communication Master of Natural Resources (MNR) degree is a graduate residency program that allows you to earn your MNR in only 10.5 months. Live at the University of Idaho McCall Field Campus while you take courses in science communication, leadership, place-based education and ecology. Gain communication experience by applying what you learn in the classroom to your role as a field instructor for the nationally recognized McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS).
By combining theory and practice, you will develop the skills to educate communities about natural resources and build a career that connects people with the wider world of science and the environment.

Application information
Applicants for the M.N.R. in natural resources, environmental education and science communication must meet the following degree-specific admission requirements:
- Education level: Bachelor's
- GPA: 3.0
- GRE: No
- TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo: 79/6.5/115 (for applicants whose education was completed in countries where English is not an official language)
- Number of references: Three
Program availability:
Concentration: non-thesis
Semester intake: Fall
- Not eligible for international applicants who require F-1 or J-1 visa status
