Study medical sciences in Coeur d’Alene
The medical sciences B.S. degree in Coeur d’Alene provides an option for students in northern Idaho to earn a Bachelor of Science in a health-related field without leaving the area. This pathway combines coursework from North Idaho College's pre-medical related A.S. degree with U of I’s medical sciences degree.
If you choose to attend in Coeur d'Alene, you'll complete your lower-division coursework at North Idaho College, then move into upper-division courses offered at U of I Coeur d’Alene. You'll connect with instructors through video in a classroom at U of I Coeur d'Alene with your peers. This pathway offers a powerful opportunity to gain meaningful clinical and research experience and a clear path to health professions, while staying close to home.

This degree is approved for Idaho LAUNCH, a grant that supports Idaho students pursuing high-demand careers. Students enrolling under the 2026–27 Academic Catalog may be eligible for up to $4,000 per year / $8,000 total in scholarship funding through the Idaho LAUNCH program.
