Earn your Ph.D. in kinesiology from University of Idaho and become a leader in the study of human performance, sport, physical activity and health. This research-intensive, interdisciplinary program explores how movement influences well-being — physically, mentally and socially You’ll dive deep into areas such as biomechanics, exercise physiology, sport and exercise psychology, physical activity pedagogy and sport management. Through advanced coursework and hands-on research, you’ll gain the skills to design, conduct and analyze studies that inform best practices in health, wellness, sport and performance.
As a Ph.D. student, you'll:

- TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo: 79/6.5/115 (for applicants whose education was completed in countries where English is not an official language)

Hands-on learning
- Exercise Physiology Laboratory
- Equipped to conduct metabolic, cardiorespiratory, cardiac and body composition research, the Exercise Physiology Lab has technologically advanced equipment for a wide array of performance and physiological testing
- Biomechanics Laboratory
- Equipped to conduct biomechanical and motor control research, the laboratory houses force plate technology and infrared camera testing
