Designing your future
In this program, you’ll dive into graphic design from the ground up by learning about visual communications and systems, design process and research, implicit and explicit messaging in text and images as well as decision-making processes for your creations.
In U of I’s Department of Art and Design, students learn by doing. Here, our students create art and design work that prompts reflection, questions societal norms and addresses the needs of diverse environments.

Financial aid and scholarship opportunities
Financial aid
U of I’s certificate programs are not eligible for financial aid or scholarships on their own. However, students enrolled in a bachelor's or associate degree program may apply their financial aid and scholarships toward a certificate if they are pursuing both simultaneously.

Students interested in adding a certificate to their bachelor’s or associate degree program should speak with their academic advisor.
