French for professional communication

 The French for the professions undergraduate certificate builds the language skills and cultural understanding needed to navigate professional life in French-speaking countries. Through advanced grammar, writing and applied language coursework, you’ll strengthen your reading, writing, listening and speaking abilities while gaining insight into workplace norms and communication styles.

You’ll develop intermediate-level proficiency in French and learn to communicate effectively in everyday work-related situations across a range of professional settings. U of I’s certificate programs are not eligible for financial aid or scholarships on their own. However, students enrolled in a bachelor's or associate degree program may apply their financial aid and scholarships toward a certificate if they are pursuing both simultaneously.
