Future Leaders

The McClure Center is committed to engaging students in the public policy process. That journey can begin in high school or even earlier. We partner with existing youth development programs to offer applied learning experiences for public policy and civic engagement.

4-H Know Your Government Conference

Every President’s Day Weekend, you will find the McClure Center working with the University of Idaho Extension 4-H youth development program, Know Your Government. Idaho high school students embark on an intensive three day conference in which they interact directly with current policy makers as well as take on roles of state legislature, state judicial courts and press corps members to learn by doing. The McClure Center offers technical advice, support and guidance to the student steering committee and conference attendees.
