MOSCOW, Idaho — University of Idaho President Scott Green’s approach to leading the school through three major crises is outlined in “University President’s Crisis Handbook.” The book will be available at booksellers nationwide on Thursday, Dec. 7.

Green and co-author Temple Kinyon, a fellow Vandal alum, will be signing copies of their book at noon Pacific time, Thursday, Dec. 7, at the VandalStore, 710 Deakin Ave., Moscow, and at 5:30 p.m. Mountain time Monday, Dec. 11, in the Legacy Pointe room at the Idaho Water Center, 322 W. Front St., Boise.

“University President’s Crisis Handbook” tells the story of how an industry outsider led his alma mater through deep budget deficits, the COVID-19 pandemic and a tragic crime against four U of I students. Green shares how the university achieved financial solvency, set records for enrollment, research awards and fundraising and continues to support a community that is still healing.

The book, published by Wiley, provides valuable lessons and key tactics not only for leaders in higher education, but CEOs, managers, administrators and anyone leading groups in the public or private sector. U of I Vandals, stakeholders and community members will also appreciate the insights, anecdotes and points of pride throughout the book.

The university’s proceeds from “University President’s Crisis Handbook” will support the Vandal Healing Garden and Memorial.
