Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival to reveal 2027 commemorative poster on Oct. 7
Reception features U of I student performances and original artwork by U of I alumnus

MOSCOW, Idaho — University of Idaho and the Moscow Arts Commission invite the public to attend a reception unveiling the 2027 Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival commemorative poster at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Third Street Gallery inside Moscow City Hall, 206 E. Third St., Moscow.
The U of I World Beat Ensemble and Chamber Jazz Choir will perform at the event.
The 2027 poster features original artwork by Reinaldo Gil Zambrano, a Spokane-based printmaker and U of I alumnus.
“Each year, the commemorative poster sets the visual tone for the upcoming jazz fest, and we’re thrilled to share the poster celebrating its 60th year with our audience,” said Navin Chettri, Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival manager. “It’s a gorgeous blend of Reinaldo’s signature printmaking elements and touches of mural art.”
