    The Risk Management and Insurance Office at University of Idaho is dedicated to fostering a safe, welcoming and resilient campus environment for students, faculty, staff, visitors and partners. We proactively identify and manage risks to protect university assets while supporting the institution’s mission of education, research and outreach.

    Risk management services

    We provide comprehensive risk assessment, loss prevention strategies and insurance solutions to safeguard the university community. Our services include:

    • Identifying and mitigating risks that could impact university operations
    • Managing liability, property and auto insurance programs
    • Assisting with claims reporting and resolution
    • Conducting risk assessments for university events, contracts and activities
    • Providing guidance on safety, compliance and best practices

    Protecting minors on campus

    University of Idaho hosts a variety of programs for minors, both through university-sponsored events and external organizations using campus facilities. Our office provides guidance and oversight to ensure a safe experience for all participants while mitigating risk to the university.
