Steve Treseler

Steve Treseler is a Seattle-based saxophonist, composer, teaching artist and author who performs and leads creative music workshops across the U.S. He and trumpeter Ingrid Jensen are co-leaders of the album Invisible Sounds on Whirlwind Recordings, a project that was featured in the New York Times, DownBeat and on NPR’s Jazz Night in America. Steve is the founder of Infinite Improvisation, offering creative music experiences in a variety of mediums: in-person and virtual workshops, instructional books and digital courses.

Steve is the author of two instructional books on improvisation which are used in classrooms around the world. He is on faculty at Seattle JazzED and the Pacific Music Institute in Honolulu, and he has presented clinics at Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, Jazz Education Network National Conference, WMEA and California Jazz Conservatory.
