The science of society

The society in which you live plays a significant role in your education, your relationships, your career, your economic status and much more. In this program, you will develop your “social imagination” and study the dynamics that influence your experiences, behaviors and opportunities. You will explore topics like race, social class, gender, globalization, crime, social mobility and the environment.

Research is a key component of this field. As a sociology major, you will learn how to design and conduct various research methodologies, analyze data and interpret statistical trends.
