“Over the years, legislative bodies I was a part of have made policy on very complicated matters without taking into account or fully understanding the scientific facts surrounding an issue. That is why I fully support strengthening the relationship between science and public policy making.”

James A. McClure

We live in a world where issues are complex and proposed solutions are charged with emotion. Senator McClure and Louise were renowned for their ability to find reason in times of discord and find workable solutions. It is more important than ever to reach decisions and formulate public policies based on fact and thoughtful analysis.
