Kerry Overton - Deputy General Manager Customer Care, Workforce Development and Risk Management, Austin Energy
Kerry Overton is the deputy general manager of customer care, workforce development, and risk management for Austin Energy, where he oversees the utility’s $1.4 billion customer care operation, consisting of billing, collections, remittance processing, metering services, utility contact center, Austin’s Citywide 3-1-1 Information Center, customer solutions management, as well as the utilities workforce development and risk management business units. He joined Austin Energy as a member of its corporate consulting team in 2000 and served in several key managerial roles. These duties included process manager for customer care revenue management, director of the City of Austin’s Infrastructure Support Services and vice president of customer care, and senior vice president of customer care and marketing.
Kerry’s has over twenty years of energy industry experience including more than a decade of executive management experience at the City of Austin’s community-owned electric utility as well as with the State of Texas’ Energy Resources Department at the General Land Office as deputy commissioner.
Kerry attended the University of Idaho’s Utility Executive Course in 2007.
