Second Year B.F.A. Review
The B.F.A. is a four-year degree divided into two parts: the pre-professional program (freshman and sophomore years) and the professional program (junior and senior years). The second year review process ensures that all B.F.A. candidates have achieved a minimum competency before entry into upper division courses. The application process should begin during the semester when the student is completing the pre-professional requirements. It is recommended, although not required, that students apply during the second semester of their sophomore year.
If an application is unsuccessful, students may reapply for entry the following semester. In a case of non-entry, the program suggests that the student apply a second time or consider the Bachelor of Arts Degree.
