Diane Plastino Graves

Diane Plastino Graves

Diane, born and raised in Idaho Falls, is a graduate of the University of Idaho. She held administrative positions with Governors Cecil D. Andrus and John V. Evans, as Administrator of the Division of Insurance Management and Director of the State Insurance Fund. During her college years, Diane held an internship position with Senator Frank Church in Washington, D.C.

She has been heavily involved for decades in volunteer capacities in the Boise and McCall communities, serving as a trustee and corporate secretary of the Idaho Community Foundation, founder of the City Club of Boise and Boise River Festival and a director of the Boise Art Museum, Festival of Trees, Frank Church Institute, Big Payette Lake Water Quality Council, Citizens for Payette Lake and Payette Lakes Cabin Owners Association, among others.

Diane has always been an admirer of Senator James McClure, his collaborative and fact-based endeavors benefitting Idaho and his willingness to work with all those, regardless of political labels, who shared his hope for a progressive future for Idaho.

She believes whole-heartedly that academically rigorous research is the basis of sound governmental decisions, and is proud to support the McClure Center in its mission to do that.
