Required Employee Training
Training will be delivered via BbLearn, the U of I online course management system, and overseen by Employee Development and Learning on behalf of the Office of Civil Rights and Investigations and Information Technology Services.
NOTE: All regular faculty and staff, temporary faculty and staff, and student employees (including graduate students) with appointments lasting longer than 3 months are required to complete additional training at the time of initial employment. Some positions may have additional, job-related training requirements.
New employees and new supervisors must complete all assigned required training within 30 days of their employment start date or their start date with new responsibilities.
2020 All-Employee Required Training
Jan. 2020 – Dec. 11, 2020
The university president or his designee assigns required training for all employees to complete each calendar year. These required courses may be mandated by federal or state regulations or address a legal, financial or physical risk that could significantly impact the university.
The 2020 all-employee training topics include:
- Creating a Respectful Community (20 minutes)
- Diversity & Inclusion at the University of Idaho (20 minutes)
- Fire Safety in the Workplace (20 minutes)
- IT Security Awareness (approx. 25 minutes)
All regular faculty and staff, temporary faculty and staff and student employees including graduate students with appointments lasting longer than three months must complete training no later than Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. Employees who do not complete the required training by the deadline may be subject to administrative or disciplinary actions.
