The University of Idaho Confucius institute opened its first satellite office in Boise, Idaho in the spring of 2016. The U of I Confucius Institute currently has four full-time faculty appointed to the Idaho Water Center, providing Mandarin language and Chinese culture classes to the Treasure Valley. Ms. Yini He is participating in a teacher exchange at the Boise School District, where she offers an "Exploring Mandarin Language and Culture Class." Ms. Yiqun Feng leads community language and culture classes at the Idaho Water Center. Mr. Guowang Luo offers martial arts courses, including Tai Chi, QiGong, and Kungfu at the Idaho Water Center.
The instructors are supported by University of Idaho program specialist, Moriah Lenhart-Wees, who manages the office and serves as primary point of contact for the U of I Confucius Institute in the Treasure Valley.
