Daelas Zieber
Daelas Zieber is an undergraduate research assistant for the policy analysis group. She is currently a senior here at the University of Idaho studying in Agriculture Economics with an emphasis in economics and political science. As a first-generation college student, Daelas has had the opportunity to be a part of many things on campus College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and University of Idaho President’s Office Intern. Her summer months were either filled with working as an H&M Clause or as an intern at Northwest Farm Credit Services.
Daelas is currently working with the Policy Analysis Group with a focus on creating a mapping database to find county, state and regional demand of energy resources. She is able to apply her ongoing learning from her economic classes by working regression platforms such as Gretl, RStudio, and Python. This will result in an economic report to find if there is a positive correlation between personal income, housing starts, and more. She has been able to apply her lecture materials into real-world challenges in hopes to make a difference.
