COVID-19 Vaccine Verification FAQ
Students who submit proof of vaccination will receive a $50 gift card to either the VandalStore or Idaho Eats.
Full-time students who submit proof will also be entered into a drawing for the chance to win one of two $5,000 Tuition Credit Awards or one of 10 $1,000 Tuition Credit Awards.
All part-time or full-time student who are fully vaccinated are welcome to submit proof for verification.

Part-time or full-time students who are fully vaccinated are eligible to receive a gift card to either the VandalStore or Idaho Eats.
Gift card funds are contingent on vaccine information verification.
VandalStore Gift Card — $50 gift card that can used at the VandalStore. You will need to show your VandalCard to receive the gift card.
Digital VandalStore Gift Card — A virtual gift card will be emailed to your University of Idaho email address along with a second email providing a pin number associated with the gift card.
Idaho Eats Funds — $50 dining dollars will be added to your VandalCard. In the event you do not have a VandalCard, gift cards will be made available. Please call 208-885-5500 for details.
Funds can be used at the following dining establishments:
- The Eatery at Vandal Village
- Einstein’s Bros. Bagels
- Late Night at Joe’s
- The Market at 6th Street
- Pom and Honey
- True Burger
Only students who are enrolled full-time and who submit proof will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win one of two $5,000 tuition credit awards or one of 10 $1,000 tuition credit awards.
The University of Idaho is not requiring any student to receive a vaccination. Only students wishing to receive a gift card and be entered into a drawing for a tuition credit need to fill out this form (if you have received full vaccination status).
Once verification of your vaccination has been received, the university will review it for gift card and drawing purposes and your documentation will be destroyed/deleted. For more information, please review U of I's Privacy Statement.
The first round of gift cards will be made available to students who pass the verification process starting the week of Sept. 6, 2021.
Gift card funds will expire on July 15, 2022.
The first drawing for five of the $1,000 and one of the $5,000 awards will occur the week of Sept. 13, 2021.
Students must upload an image/copy of the FRONT of your vaccine card in PDF, PNG or JPG format for verification purposes.
Yes. Gift cards and other awards students receive due to your ties to an institution must be accounted for as a part of the financial aid package. Your overall package of financial assistance may be adjusted due to receiving the vaccine gift card and/or tuition credit award.
