UI Launches National Search for a Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Dean of Students

The search committee invites nominations and applications for an outstanding individual to serve as the Vice Provost for Student Affairs and as the Dean of Students.
The VPSA/DOS provides leadership and vision in administering a comprehensive range of programs and services related to campus programming and planning. The VPSA/DOS also assists in creating a campus culture that promotes inclusiveness and support for the University's diverse student body and the academic achievement and personal development of all students.
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D., Ed.D., or J.D. with at least seven years of demonstrated leadership with increasing supervisory experience within student affairs; at least three years of experience supervising and developing staff and managing budgets; excellent communication and collaboration skills; leadership abilities to deal effectively with complex issues and situations commonly experienced within student affairs; demonstrated abilities to develop, implement, and assess strategic initiatives; and the ability to work successfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Applications should be received by July 25 to ensure that they are given first consideration; however, the position will remain open and applications will be accepted until a suitable applicant has been identified. The anticipated search timeline includes phone interviews in August, with onsite interviews beginning in September.
