UI College of Art and Architecture Summer Design Week
“Friends and Family” Registration Discount
Extended to Wednesday, June 18

Moscow, Idaho-- Summer Design Week, an art and design immersion program for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors, returns to the University of Idaho campus July 6-12.

During the week, students will explore Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Studio Art & Design and Virtual Technology & Design programs through studios, lectures and workshops.

“This is a unique opportunity to work closely with esteemed faculty from each discipline. By week's end, students have a greater understanding of the course of study they wish to pursue—along with new skills to help them get the most out of their first collegiate experience,” said Mark Hoversten, dean of the College of Art & Architecture.

Students also engage in extra-curricular activities and have the opportunity to participate in a closing reception and Student Exhibit in the Reflections Gallery.

“Summer Design Week provides an excellent opportunity to experience on-campus living in a fun and relaxed environment,” said Phillip Mead, Program Director and Associate Professor of Architecture. “Activities outside of the studio and classroom allow students to engage with like-minded peers from other high schools while trying the University of Idaho culture on for size.”

Cost of attendance is $985 and includes art supplies, room and board; college credit is available for an additional fee. A $100 discount is available to qualified friends and family members of University of Idaho Faculty and Staff using the promotion code: FRIEND14 at checkout. Registration using this promotion has been extended to close of business, Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
