New VandalStar Alert Flags Go Live
March 22, 2021
Starting this week, two new alert flags — “Registration ALERT-Student Accounts Hold” and “Registration ALERT-Advisor Hold” — will go live and be added to students’ VandalStar accounts. If a student has a university bill over $500 and/or needs to meet with their academic or faculty advisor, the student will receive an email notification with suggested action steps to address their hold(s). An orange alert flag will also be added to their VandalStar account. The flags were created in partnership with the Student Accounts, Student Financial Aid Services and University Advising Services offices. They were developed to inform and encourage students to take care of account holds before next term class registration begins. When a student’s hold is resolved, the flag no longer shows on the student’s dashboard. VandalStar system information is refreshed nightly from Banner. Contact Student Accounts at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions about the Student Accounts flag and email@example.com with questions about the advisor hold flag.
