ITS Campus Awareness Phishing Campaign
January 21, 2020
Phishing emails remain a popular attack method for malicious actors. Your ability to spot a phish helps you guard yourself against attackers trying to trick you or steal personal information. As part of ongoing awareness efforts, ITS will periodically distribute fake phishing messages to random U of I employees. These emails look and function like real messages, allowing employees to practice spotting and reporting scams. If employees are caught by a phish, training materials will be available to help identify future phishing attempts.
Results of this campaign will be shared only in aggregate. Outside of specific compliance areas, no users will be identified.
