VandalStar Progress Survey Gives Students Academic Alert
February 10, 2020
Course instructors across campus are being asked to review students’ academic performance in their courses. This review — Early Warning Grade Progress Survey — is important in giving students a timely update about how they are performing in their classes. Surveys are due Tuesday, Feb. 18, and are submitted through VandalStar.
Students who receive a D, F and/or have attendance issues are sent an email from VandalStar and will also see a VandalStar system alert “flag” on their dashboard.
The goal of the progress survey is early detection of student academic issues and to encourage students to seek out help from course instructors, advisors and support staff while taking advantage of available campus academic resources. Significant outreach will take place between students and the Vandal community during these upcoming weeks to connect and provide personalized assistance. Email VandalStar Coordinator Lisa Ormond at VandalStar@uidaho.edu, call 208-885-8787, or visit www.vandalstar.uidaho.edu for system support and questions or for more resources.
