VERAS Training Opportunities Available

March 15, 2019

For all those who apply for external funding: the new pre-award module of VERAS (Vandals Electronic Research Administration System) will be implemented beginning Monday, April 1, when all newly created proposal applications will need to be prepared and submitted to the sponsor via VERAS. Please plan to attend one of the live training opportunity sessions hosted by the Office of Sponsored Programs.

  1. Proposals Submissions – this course will provide an overview of the VERAS proposal submission system, including setting up profile information, adding project personnel and sponsors, and how the system supplants both EIPRS and Cayuse.
  2. Budget Preparation – this course will go into additional detail on completing a budget using the basic, detailed and modular formats, including using escalation rates. We will also discuss how the information floods into forms for those applicants using the system-to-system (old Cayuse) features.

To sign up for these sessions, search for “VERAS” on the U of I GoSignMeUp site or the U of I events calendar. Space is limited for each session and will be available via Zoom. Recorded sessions will be available as well at a later date.
