Register for a Valentine Cookie Decorating Class

The U of I Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences will host an evening of cookie decorating in the state-of-the art Carmelita Spencer Foods Laboratory at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12. Participants will learn how to make a delicious sugar cookie that will hold its shape and icing that has perfect consistency. Step by step instructions will be given as the instructor demonstrates icing techniques that will be displayed on two overhead monitors.
The class is three hours long and each participant will make 10 cookies. Cost for the class is $25 for current U of I students and $50 for general registration. Classes will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Register early; space is limited. This class is appropriate for ages eight and up.
