Changes to WSU Parking

April 24, 2019

Thanks to all who responded with feedback back in February when we announced that Washington State University Transportation Services will be transitioning to permitless license plate recognition (LPR) parking next year. The good news is not only will the existing reciprocal agreement remain unchanged for the 2019-20 academic year, so too will Vandals' parking experience at WSU.

  • WSU will continue to honor U of I permits as they have in the past
  • No registration required
  • When the license plate isn't recognized, enforcement personnel will check for an appropriate U of I parking permit in the lower corner of the driver side windshield

U of I and WSU parking and transportation personnel will closely monitor this process and would like to hear your feedback.
