DOE EPSCoR Requests Pre-applications for Implementation Grants
November 21, 2018
Research and Faculty Development is pleased to announce that the Department of Energy's Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DOE EPSCoR) is soliciting pre-applications from eligible jurisdictions for implementation grants. The pre-application is required as a part of the application process and is due 2 p.m. Pacific time, Thursday, Dec. 20.
The applications are sought for research in key science and technology areas related to DOE missions as limited by the specific language of the announcement. Grants awarded under this program are intended to improve research capability through the support of a group of scientists and engineers, including graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, working on a common scientific theme in one or more than one EPSCoR jurisdictions.
There is no limit on the number of pre-proposals that can be submitted by a state or an institution. No letter is needed from the DOE EPSCoR state coordinator. Assessment of responsiveness to the requirements of the FOA and a comparative review of the pre-applications will be used to determine the most competitive pre-applications for full submission.
