ITS Begins Campus Awareness Phishing Campaign
July 27, 2018
Phishing emails remain a popular attack method. The ability to spot a phish helps prevent hackers from tricking you or stealing information. As part of ongoing awareness efforts, ITS will send out fake phishing messages which look and function like real ones so you can practice spotting and reporting these scams. If caught by a phish, training materials will be available to help you identify future phishing messages.
Results of this campaign will be shared only in aggregate. Outside of specific compliance areas, no users will be identified. To view more information on phishing please visit https://support.uidaho.edu/TDClient/KB/ArticleDet?ID=192.
ITS is committed to ensuring the security of user data in support of U of I's continuous improvement through technology. If you have any questions, your Local Support team will be happy to assist you, or visit the tech support portal at https://support.uidaho.edu and submit a ticket.
