ORED Seeks White Papers for IGEM Grant Program
July 20, 2018
The Office of Research and Economic Development seeks white papers as part of the limited submission process to select applicants for the Idaho Global Entrepreneurial Mission (IGEM) FY19 grant program. White papers are due to the Office of Technology Transfer by 5 p.m. Aug. 24.
The IGEM program funds commercialization research, where university researchers and business experts partner together to bring viable new technologies, scientific developments, and industry-changing services to market by facilitating sponsored research and accelerating technology transfer out of Idaho university research facilities and into the private sector.
The Idaho Department of Commerce annually disperses $950,000 in funds directly to Idaho’s three public research universities (Boise State University, Idaho State University and the University of Idaho) for projects approved by the IGEM Council. An IGEM grant must meet specific industry partnership and commercialization requirements. Please download the program application for eligibility details.
For instructions on how to apply for this limited submission opportunity, please download the Guidelines and Instructions.
