September 17, 2018
The Geography Department's Speaker Series resumes from 3:30-4:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at McClure 209 with a presentation by Olivier Walther. Walther, from the University of Florida, will talk about Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development-sponsored project that mapped the gender and spatial dynamics of West Africa's food economy. Walther will discuss the relationships between the nearly 2,000 producers, traders and wholesalers involved in the study and reflect on how development policies can better respond to the needs of women's economic activities.
