Give Back During 2017 Charitable Giving Campaign Oct. 1-31
September 22, 2017
Each October, the University of Idaho joins a statewide campaign to raise funds for nonprofit organizations in our area. The Idaho Employees’ Charitable Giving Campaign is the way that all state employees collectively show our commitment to our state. Last year, the campaign raised more than $250,000 to support nonprofits across Idaho.
The campaign runs from Oct. 1-31, 2017, and employees are asked to consider donating to nonprofit organizations in our area. You can do this online at unitedwecare.idaho.gov or by downloading the paper pledge form and sending it to campaign coordinator Savannah Tranchell at MS 3221, via email to email@example.com, or drop it off in Mary Forney Hall Room 217.
You can learn more about this campaign, pick up a pledge form and engage with local nonprofit agencies during the Idaho Charitable Giving Nonprofit Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, in front of the Pitman Center.
Employees are also encouraged to signup for the UI Employee Day at the Habitat for Humanity build site in Potlatch on Saturday, Oct. 21. Volunteers will be helping Habitat finish exterior work and get the home closed up before winter. No hammer-swinging experience is necessary to participate. To sign up, email Savannah Tranchell. We need up to 25 volunteers to work shifts from 9 a.m to 12:30 p.m., or noon to 4 p.m. Lunch is provided!
