Tobias Wray is a poet, essayist and editor. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Blackbird, Bellingham Review, The Spoon River Poetry Review, Third Coast, Wasafiri: International Contemporary Writing and elsewhere. His poetry is also included in Queer Nature Anthology.

As a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee he served as a Poetry Editor for cream city review and coordinated Eat Local :: Read Local, a program that partners local restaurants with poets from Milwaukee and Madison.

He taught Creative Writing, Literature and Composition for UWM, as well as LGBT+ Studies courses.

He also teaches courses in poetry, fiction and the art of the essay for Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development youth program.

He holds an MFA in Poetry and Translation from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he was an ensemble company member of the Artist’s Laboratory Theatre Company and the organizer of the reading series 9 by the Light.

He has also written literary and theatre criticism.

Some of his work published in American Literary Review, Blackbird, Bellingham Review, Mid-American Review, The Spoon River Poetry Review, Third Coast, The Fourth River, and Wasafiri: International Contemporary Writing. His poetry will appear in the Queer Nature Anthology.
