Tuition and Fees

ALCP students should bring enough money to cover the cost of tuition and fees, health insurance, housing expenses, books and enough cash to cover incidental expenditures. We recommend that students bring money in traveler's checks rather than cash. Students should carry all documentation of financial support for immigration purposes, as well as for registration with the ALCP.

Costs for *Two (2) Session Combination (8 weeks + 8 weeks):

  • Registration/Program Fees: $220
  • Orientation/Program Fees: $100
  • Housing (Room and Board): $4,440
  • Books and Supplies: $578
  • Personal Expenses (Estimated): $786
  • Required Insurance: $899
    (We will accept other insurance plans if they meet U of I minimum requirements.)
  • Total Estimated Cost: $13,089

*Two (2) Session combinations required for Fall and Spring term start dates.

(Add $13,089 for each additional Two (2) Session Combination)

  • Total Estimated Cost: $35,123

You must be prepared to provide proof to the consular officials of sufficient funding for each accompanying dependent. Estimated costs (including mandatory health insurance) for dependents are as follows:

For each two (2) session combination and/or summer session

  • $4,200 for spouse
  • $3,080 for each child
