Women in Engineering Exploratorium for 9th-10th Graders
April 26-27, 2018
A new event held this year in conjunction with the annual Engineering Design EXPO and in partnership with the U of I Society of Women Engineers (SWE). The Exploratorium is an event for 9th and 10th grade girls who are interested in engineering but want to better understand engineering through hands-on activities and experience with the disciplines, students, actual female alumni who are engineers and U of I Engineering programs.

Michael Kyte Distinguished Lecture

The second annual Michael Kyte Distinguished Lecture brings to the U of I Moscow campus Peter Koonce, P.E., Division Manager, Signals & Street Lighting, & ITS Division at the City of Portland. Koonce will speak on the topic of designing cities in the 21st Century: aligning what we know with what we need. 4 p.m. in the IRIC Atrium. Reception starting at 2:30 p.m.
Women in Engineering Dinner and Networking Night

An event hosted in partnership with the U of I Society of Women Engineers (SWE) for U of I female students and alumni. Dinner and Networking Night will feature keynote speaker Lisa Grow, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Idaho Power. In addition, participants will be able to engage in a networking session with U of I Engineering alumni to discuss career paths and opportunities.
