The M.Ed./M.S. Rehabilitation Counseling and Human Services (RCHS) Program is fully accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) through 2024. The program has two full-time, tenure-track faculty members and who teach the CACREP-accredited curriculum. The instructor to student ratio is 1:12.
Graduates are able to attain their M.Ed. or M.S. Degree. Preference is given to full-time students. Students exiting this program are expected to pass the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor Examination or Oral Comprehensive Examination based on their knowledge as a rehabilitation counseling professional prior to graduation.
Graduates have the option of obtaining their Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), National Counselor Certification (NCC) and License as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Idaho.
Graduates of this program may find employment in:
- state or federal agencies
- private or nonprofit rehabilitation agencies
- corrections facilities
- community mental health clinics
- private practice
