Perinatal Substance Use Disorder Program 2020

Led by a panel of experts, ECHO Idaho helps participants learn best practices for treating patients with perinatal substance use disorder, connect with peers from around the state to discuss what really works and get feedback on difficult patient cases. These sessions create a dialogue among clinicians about best practices and resources for identifying and treating perinatal substance use disorder.

This series took place March 11 - July 22, 2020

Sessions met on second and fourth Wednesdays

11 a.m. to noon Pacific time / Noon to 1 p.m. Mountain time.

The target audience is family practice, pediatric, and OB/GYN physicians, NPs, PAs and nursing staff.

However, all clinicians are welcome, including social workers, care coordinators, addiction recovery specialists and others. 

Participation in ECHO Idaho is free for clinicians and organizations.

  • No-Cost CME: Participation in ECHO Idaho is eligible for free continuing medical education credits.

Physicians

The University of Idaho, WWAMI Medical Education Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Idaho, WWAMI Medical Education Program designates each live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants

For the purpose of re-licensure, the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education). To be considered continuing education, the session(s) are required to be germane to your practice. Final acceptance of the credit for recertification resides with your state board. 

Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses

Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists

The Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses recognizes the University of Idaho, WWAMI Medical Education Program as an approved provider of continuing education. To be considered continuing education, the session(s) are required to be germane to your practice.

Participants from states outside of Idaho are welcome and encouraged to attend! Please check with your state certification and licensure boards for specific considerations regarding claiming continuing education for participation in ECHO Idaho programs.

Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADC/ACADC/CPS)

The Idaho Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification (IBADCC) recognizes the University of Idaho, WWAMI Medical Education Program as an approved provider of continuing education.
