Sky Blue, MD
Dr. Sky Blue is an Infectious Diseases Specialist and founding partner in Sawtooth Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases. As an independent physician practicing in the Treasure Valley, he cares for patients in both Saint Alphonsus and St. Luke’s hospital systems in Nampa, Meridian and Boise. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Blue co-chairs Hospital Infection Prevention committees and is the medical director for the Wellness Center—the HIV services clinic at Full Circle Health.
Dr. Blue received his medical degree from the University of Iowa and occupied the role of Chief Resident during his residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Utah, where he was a faculty member in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geriatrics until moving to Boise in 1997.
Outside of medical practice he spends time with his family, horses and dogs and enjoys travel locally and internationally.

Paula Carvalho, MD
Dr. Paula Carvalho is the academic section chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and medical director of the intensive care unit, bronchoscopy service and simulation program at the Boise VA Medical Center. Her specialty board certifications include Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Palliative Care.
Dr. Carvalho is also a teaching scholar and professor of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and adjunct professor in the department of surgery at the University of Washington, where she received her medical degree, completed a residency in internal medicine and a respiratory diseases fellowship.
In addition to holding memberships on the American Board of Internal Medicine writing panel for critical care medicine and the FDA pulmonary panel advisory committee, she has also been the recipient of seven teaching awards from the medical students and residents at the University of Washington.

Megan Dunay, MD, MPH
Dr. Dunay is a Board-Certified Geriatrician and Family Physician, with extensive experience in Geriatric Primary Care, Geriatric Specialty Consultation, Home-Based Primary Care, Palliative Care, and Skilled Nursing Facility Medical Direction. Originally from the Appalachian Mountain region of southwest Virginia, Dr. Dunay studied Chemistry and Religion as an undergraduate at Duke University. She attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where she was a member of the Generalist Scholars Program, earning a Master of Public Health Degree, and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She attended the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho (now Full Circle Health), where she served as Chief Resident and received the Resident Teacher Award her senior year. She completed her Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the Mountain Area Health Education Center of the University of North Carolina, where she completed a research study on Geriatric Patient Health Activation and participated in the American Medical Directors Association Geriatric Futures Program. She enjoyed 6 years of service at the Boise VAMC including various leadership roles. She now serves as the Medical Director for the Idaho State Veteran’s Home – Boise, and as geriatrician and palliative care physician at the Keystone Center for Geriatrics. She is an educator with the University of Washington School of Medicine, and enjoys teaching students, residents and Geriatric Medicine fellows.
Outside of her professional occupations, Dr. Dunay enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing golf and tennis, swimming, biking, camping, and skiing. She also loves reading poetry, especially the works of Mary Oliver, Lucille Clifton and Rainer Maria Rilke.

Ann Lima, MD, MPH
Dr. Lima received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota and was a Chief Resident to finish off her residency at Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, CA. Following her move to Idaho in 2015, she joined the staff at the Clearwater Valley Health in Orofino where she is a full-spectrum rural family physician.
In 2021, Dr. Lima received the Idaho Rural Health Hero Award from the Idaho Rural Health Care Association for her contributions as a preceptor for Idaho WWAMI medical students and her outstanding efforts as a family physician. Serving as the medical director for EMS and a local hospice agency and initiating health outreach programs like Walk with the Docs, she is committed to the promotion of community health in rural Idaho.
When she isn’t working, Dr. Lima enjoys hiking, playing volleyball, basketball, softball, competing in triathlons, traveling, exploring new places and meeting new people.

Cathy Oliphant, PharmD
Cathy Oliphant is Professor and Co-Chair of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Science at Idaho State University College of Pharmacy, as well as the Rho Chi and Generation Rx advisor. She earned her PharmD degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and completed a residency and fellowship in infectious diseases/microbiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to joining the faculty at ISU College of Pharmacy in 2003, Cathy taught for seven years at the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy.
She currently maintains a practice site at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise and Meridian where she works with Internal Medicine physicians, hospitalists and infectious disease physicians, and precepts students on medicine, infectious diseases, and academic APPEs. Her research interests include infectious diseases and prescription drug abuse issues.
