Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias

Alzheimer’s disease was listed as the sixth leading cause of death in Idaho, according to a recent report from the Idaho Legislature's Office of Performance Evaluations. In 2020, 27,000 Idahoans aged 65 and older were affected by the condition; that number is projected to increase by 22% by the year 2025 as the Baby Boomer population continues to age.

Although Alzheimer’s disease is the most recognized, there are over 100 different types of dementias.

This series provides an opportunity to learn best practices to identify, treat and manage brain health and other dementia-related concerns. The interdisciplinary panel includes subject matter experts in geriatrics, geriatric psychiatry, neuropsychology, pharmacy, social work and caregiving.

Each session is designed to be collaborative, engaging and immediately applicable to your practice. Participating in ECHO Idaho help connect you with other peers statewide to identify approaches and resources for advancing patient care.

Virtual sessions meet 1 - 2 p.m. Mountain time on the following dates:

Jan. 25, 2023
Feb. 22, 2023
March 22, 2023
