4-H State Events
Idaho 4-H offers statewide events for older member (grades 8 and up) who are ready to move beyond their county borders. Information and registration materials are available on this website or from your county extension office.
Know Your Government Conference
The Know Your Government Conference, known as KYG, is held each Presidents’ Day Weekend while the Idaho legislature is in session. Designed for students in grades 8-9, KYG is a project as well as an experience.
Ambassadors
The Idaho 4-H Ambassadors program is intended for 4-Hers ages 14 and up who have completed at least two years of 4-H projects and activities. 4-H Ambassadors work year-round to promote 4-H in their counties, and attend an annual training held each November in McCall.
TALK
The Teen Ambassador Leadership Kit (TALK) program is an annual retreat held in Albion, Idaho, to polish public speaking skills for teens who become 4-H Ambassadors. Work with 4-H staff members throughout the year to promote and market 4-H in your county.
Teen Conference
Join teens from around the state each June for five days of fun and educational activities on the University of Idaho Moscow campus. For teens who have completed grades 8 and up.
Idaho Celebrates 100 Years
Idaho 4-H celebrates its Centennial in 2012 with activities throughout the state, including birthday parties, service to local communities, recognition of 4-H alumni and century families, and donations to the Idaho Friends of 4-H to support ongoing programs.
