Student Success Program
Housing & Residence Life = student success
We invest in our students ensuring they have a successful first year. Our Student Success Program provides in-house resources specifically for students living in the residence halls. Students don’t have to go outside their home to find peer advising, tutoring, flexible study spaces and a computer resource center.
2,385 students visited the Student Success Program during the 2016-2017 academic year.
Our first year residents are welcome to attend workshops proven to help develop successful academic habits. Workshops and study sessions are often presented by our Academic Peer Mentors, residents of high academic standing. Campus partners including the financial aid office, library, study abroad office and individual faculty also facilitate the Student Success Program workshops.
Academic Coaching is available for interested students. An Academic coach is a University staff member who offers objective one-on-one support and guidance throughout the first semester.
Whether students are seeking help with coursework, wanting to talk with someone about their major or are needing large place to study with friends, that can all be found in the Student Success Program, located in the Wallace Residence Center.
