Residence Hall Amenities
Our students do not need to bring refrigerators and microwaves. Housing and Residence life provides a Mini Fridge per room. These appliances are a combination freezer, refrigerator, and microwave designed for students' busy lifestyles. The Mini Fridge requires a single plug, so there's no need for additional extension cords, outlets, or adapters.
Save those quarters for bubble gum; doing laundry in the residence halls is included. Plentiful laundry rooms are located within each residence hall! Washing and drying is free.
Wallace, the Tower and McConnell provide full-access computer labs with printing, scanning and copying capabilities. Additionally, each building has specific spaces dedicated for studying. With Housing and Residence Life's superior wireless capabilities, students can connect any computer, regardless of their location within the residence halls and the dining hall.
Assistance is available at the Information Desk located in the Living Learning Communities. Information attendants work throughout the day and evening to assist you. The Information Desk is open 24/7 every day. Hours during academic breaks may vary.
Internet access in your room is free. Use your NetID and password to connect to AirVandalGold and AirVandalHome. If you have any questions or problems, The Student Technology Center is happy to help. We can be reached at 208-885-4357 or by email at support@uidaho.edu.
During the snowy winter months, residents may store their bicycles in our bike rooms. Keeping bikes out of the elements can extend their life and our residents are thankful to have a warm and dry space for their bikes. We have designated bike rooms inside the Tower, Wallace and McConnell. Students living in the LLCs use Wallace for bicycle storage.
All residents will pick up their mail at the Information Desk. You will receive an email notification when you have mail or packages to pick up. You may also mail standard-size letters from the desk, but packages must be mailed through the post office which is located in the Federal Building at 220 E 5th Street.

Housing & Residence Life provides full custodial staff who clean your public spaces like community restrooms and lounges. Our staff is concerned about your safety, health and comfort. Our maintenance team maintains our residence halls on a year-round basis. Also, any room maintenance issue can be addressed once a service request is submitted.
Escort Policy
You must escort all guests into the Residence Halls, as they are locked to non-residents. If you have a guest staying in your room, you should communicate with your roommate and make sure the guest does not stay for a prolonged period of time. Staff works to enforce this policy for the safety and comfort of all residents.
Moscow Police Department & Campus Security
Housing & Residence Life works directly with the Moscow Police Department to ensure safety in the Residence Halls. Campus Security also provides hall walk-throughs, safety checks and a 24-hour campus Safe-Walk program.
Fire Safety
Due to the risk of fire, the following items are prohibited in the Residence Halls: candles, incense, flammable liquids and cooking appliances with open heating elements. Do not hang any items on the sprinkler heads located in rooms or hallways. For more information on what to bring and not bring, visit our Pinterest page.
Property Safety
Make sure to lock your room door and do not leave property unattended. Most on-campus thefts are “crimes of opportunity,” meaning that they can be prevented by keeping personal property locked up.
Information Desk
Our Information Desk, located between LLC Buildings 2 and 3. lt can help you with any emergencies or questions about Housing. If you’re locked out of your apartment or room, have an emergency in the halls or simply have questions about life on campus, come to our desk and we’ll help you out!
