Jim Lemley, a second-generation Vandal, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing at the College of Business and Economics in 1988. He is an American film and television producer based in Paris and Los Angeles. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading directors, actors, and producers to create both critically acclaimed and commercially successful projects.

After beginning his career in New York working in the music business for Island Records, Lemley moved to Los Angeles to pursue film. He spent time at both Disney and Universal before joining Icon Entertainment in 1992.

Over the next decade, Lemley quickly rose through the ranks eventually serving as CEO of the London-based Icon Entertainment International. At Icon, he worked on various features across all genres, including Braveheart, Maverick, Immortal Beloved, Anna Karenina, Payback, 187 and We Were Soldiers. Additionally, he produced several television projects, including the highly rated The Three Stooges for ABC and Invincible for TBS.

In 2002, Lemley teamed with Ridley and Tony Scott to executive produce the medieval romance Tristan and Isolde. In 2005, he partnered with Bonnie Curtis to executive produce the Wes Craven thriller Red Eye.

Lemley’s most recent credits include the action-fantasy-horror film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (which he produced with Tim Burton) as well as the action-thriller Wanted, both directed by cult action director Timur Bekmambetov. Other projects include the critically acclaimed drama The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, and the post-apocalyptic animated feature 9, which he produced with Burton and Bekmambetov.

Currently, Lemley is developing a 10-hour miniseries, The Singularity, with Ray Kurzweil the famed American inventor, futurist, Google director and author of the New York Times Bestseller The Singularity is Near. The miniseries will explore the science and philosophy behind the future of humanity and its relationship with ever-evolving technology.
