Palouse Jazz Project releases album
The Palouse Jazz Project, the faculty jazz sextet of the Lionel Hampton School of Music, recorded their first album June 22-26, 2015. This project was a culmination of nine years of collaboration and involved the performance of original compositions and arrangements by members of the ensemble. The recording was mixed and edited by Dave Bjur at the Washington State University recording studio, and mastered by Vincent LaBelle at Boom! in Seattle.
The album will be used for further promotion of the ensemble, college and university of Idaho. In addition, it will serve as a recruitment and outreach tool for the Lionel Hampton School of Music. This project was supported by the Lionel Hampton School of Music and by the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences Summer Research Grants.
