Steve JohnsonThe Moscow campus feels re-energized after the holiday weekend. Summer just officially started, but students will be headed back to campus in less than a month!

The end of summer break means the nomination deadline for University of Idaho Alumni Association awards and recognition is also looming.

Honor fellow alumni for their distinction in leadership, volunteerism and university support by casting a thoughtful and thorough nomination. There are several categories to choose from, and all nominations are due Aug. 1. Learn more about the process.

Thanks for helping recognize the many accomplished and dedicated Vandals out there!

Chris Walker may own a 3D printing business, but the 2010 University of Idaho graduate doesn’t expect the emerging technology to make everyone want a printer of their own.

For Walker, the success of 3D printing is about tapping into the community to make the technology accessible for everyone.

The football program rejoins the Sun Belt Conference, where the Vandals were one of the original football members when the league added the sport in 2001. Meanwhile, all other sports, except swimming and diving, once again will be members of the Big Sky Conference — a league the Vandals helped form 51 years ago.
