  • How Does Winter Break Work?

    Winter Break 2013 Information

    • Winter Break is from December 21, 2013 through January 12, 2014
    • University Housing will reopen for students to return on January 12, 2014 at noon.

    Can I stay in my room?

    • Students living in Wallace Residence Center, Theophilus Tower, McConnell and Targhee must leave their rooms for winter break no later than noon on Saturday, December 21, 2013. These students can leave all their belongings in their rooms during break but should remember to take any important items with them (ex: medications, passports, computers, school work, etc) as the buildings will be closed and no students will be allowed back in the building prior to January 12, 2014
    • Students living in any of the Living Learning Communities (LLCs) are allowed to stay in their rooms during the entire winter break.

    What if I need a place to stay during winter break?

    • If you need a place to stay during winter break or need a late stay extension, please visit the University Housing Office no later than December 10, 2013 for a late stay/winter break housing application. There is no guarantee for winter break housing or late stay exemptions. There is acost associated with winter break housing. Please visit the housing office on the second floor of Wallace Residence Center for more information.

    Does my dining plan work during break?

    • All meal plans end for the semester on December 20, 2013. The last meal served at Bob's Place will be lunch on December 20, 2013. Students who live on campus during Winter Break are responsible for providing their own food.
    • Bob's Place will reopen for dinner on January 12, 2014 and spring meal plans will be available for use at that time.

    What if I am a new student to housing?

    • New students to housing for the Spring 2014 semester can begin checking into their rooms on January 12, 2014 at noon.
