F-Word Live Poetry Slam

"F-Word" LIVE Poetry Slam

Thursday, November 6, 2014!
Borah Theater in the Student Union Building

If you're an aspiring or seasoned poet and would like to perform at this year's "F-Word Live!" event, please contact the Women's Center at wcenter@uidaho.edu. All local spoken word artists are invited to submit their work for the opportunity to perform a piece about the "other f-word," namely, Feminism. Think about what Feminism means for you and our future. Take this opportunity to be heard. This is a unique opportunity to build solidarity in our community, and celebrate the Women’s Center and Feminism. Submit your work and find your voice! The slam is open to poets of all levels, abilities, and genders. Contact Bekah MillerMacPhee for more information about how to apply!

About Spoken Word
Spoken word is a form of performance poetry that often uses alliterated prose or verse and occasionally, metered verse, to express social commentary. Traditionally, it is in the first person, is from the poet’s point of view, and is themed in current events.
