Thank you for your interest in working at the University of Idaho LGBTQA Office! Here is a list of our current openings. Please note that eligibility for these positions require a federal work study award for the 2014-2015 academic year. To apply for any of these positions, please fill out an application. LGBTQA OFFICE ASSISTANT | JOB ID # 29333 (TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE)
Join the LGBTQA Office for this exciting work-study opportunity where you will experience the workings of a Student Affairs office, where we provide programming and support services to all students on campus.  In this 10 hour/week work-study assignment, you will assist office staff with the daily operation of the office, including distributing flyers about LGBTQA Office and other co-sponsored events, greeting and assisting visitors to the office, processing mail, making photocopies, ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the office, and participating in special programs and events such as our Open Houses, LGBTQA History Month activities, and other activities of the office.  

LGBTQA OFFICE EVENT & PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT | JOB ID # 29334
Join the LGBTQA Office for this exciting work study opportunity where you will hone your communication and organization skills!  In this 10-hour per week work-study assignment, you will assist the LGBTQA Office Program Coordinator in conceptualizing, planning, and implementing exciting and innovative programs and events for UI students and faculty & staff, and local community members. You will assist with monthly and annual programs that may include scheduling meetings, arranging for film showings, tabling, selling tickets, distributing promotional material, and other activities. You will also be helping with designing flyers, writing press releases, contacting guest speakers and other facilitators, and arranging for meeting/event space.  If you are interested in working with diverse constituencies, are a self-starter, enjoy motivating others, and would like to learn more about gender and equity issues, this work-study position is perfect for you!
