Open to all. Please take what you need.
As students working in the Center for Volunteerism and Social Action, we understand how tolling school can be, and we strongly believe that students should be able to focus on their studies without the burden of food insecurity. This is why we created the Vandal Food Pantry, so students can serve students in need. We want to ensure that no one goes to class hungry.
To make accessing the Vandal Food Pantry easier, we established five satellite locations in Student Support Services (Commons 306), Student Media (3rd floor of the SUB), the Diversity Center (TLC 229), Campus Christian Center (822 Elm St.), and the Counseling and Testing Center (Mary E. Forney Hall 3rd floor). These cabinets are stocked with food and grocery bags and information sheets on community/campus food resources. The cabinets are accessible whenever these offices are open (usually 9-5 Monday-Friday). There are no requirements to use the cabinets, and we do not ask for any personal information in using our services.
If you wish to donate food, please drop off in the Volunteer Center food pantry donation box (outside our office), or the donation box next to the cabinet in the Counseling and Testing Center. Thanks for your support!
If you have questions, comments, or concerns, please e-mail us or stop by Commons 301. We happily welcome suggestions and donations.
