Admissions & Curriculum

We continuously review applications for admission to graduate work in the University of Idaho Department of Physics. Applications that are completed by the University of Idaho's priority deadline (see admissions requirements) will be reviewed for acceptance into the graduate program, as well as for department funding, if available. Later applications will also be reviewed for acceptance to the program, but teaching assistantships may not be available."

Applying to the Program

To apply to our program you can do so online by going to the University of Idaho Graduate Admission office.

All prospective students must first apply using the normal admission process through the UI Graduate School. Admission decisions are made by the Graduate Admissions Committee and not by individual professors. However, we encourage you to contact professors who are conducting research in the area of Physics that you wish to pursue research, if you have specific questions.
